A circle left open. The Open Design Round Pearl Sapphire Necklace sets a pearl and a sapphire-blue stone at either end of an open round pendant, leaving the centre empty.

Leaving the circle unclosed gives the pendant lightness and lets whatever you are wearing show through it, which makes the two stones read more clearly than they would against solid metal. Placing them opposite each other balances the shape so it hangs level rather than tipping.
