The long cut. The Marquise-Cut Ring Set centres an elongated marquise stone and gives it a second band designed to sit alongside.

A marquise runs lengthways along the finger rather than across it, which draws the hand out and makes the stone look considerably larger than the same weight would in a round cut. The matching band closes the line beneath it, so the pair reads as one piece.
